Today's Routine Stuff™ made its appearance last night, actually, and I didn't notice it until I was shutting down the computer. Apparently, calls were made, too, but I had forgotten to restore the ringer on my phone (I had turned it off during tai chi), so that was a dead end as well.

Fortunately (and curiously) the work was in no way critical or any kind of rush, so I finished about half of it this morning before it was time to go work out, and then sent back the second half in the early afternoon.

The morning gave every indication of being a carbon copy of yesterday—a whole lot of rain lasting into the afternoon—but by noon, the clouds pretty much went away for what turned out to be the rest of the day. After a couple of hours of sun, I decided to see just how far I'd get cutting the grass out front, and accomplished the job with no hitches.

Dinner was over at Pier 8 in Seabrook. This time, however, instead of getting one of the pre-filleted pieces of catfish, we opted to have the folks in the back prepare a tilapia for us. When it came out, it reminded me of a fish a colleague had ordered at a Tibetan restaurant in Moscow some years ago. The fish, scaled and gutted, was otherwise served whole, completely fried. And while tonight's tilapia was not fried to the extent of the fish served in Moscow (which allowed it to be consumed pretty much in toto, without having to worry about bones, etc.), it was definitely tasty. I generally am reluctant to sit down and eat fish that has bones in it, but I managed to consume my share of the tilapia very well, and look forward to ordering something similar next time.

Red snapper, maybe.

After dinner, we stopped by the Jardin del Mar beach and went for a little walk.

It's been a fairly active day for me, physically. This kind of thing needs to become a habit.

Cheers...
