Oh, sweet tea!
Nov. 23rd, 2015 09:08 pmThe morning was filled, mostly, with "desktop publishing," consisting mainly of creating and pasting images of PowerPoint slides into a document. When the client made it clear that there was no rush on this particular line of work, I pretty much dropped everything and "turned to" on the big job due tomorrow.
When 5 o'clock rolled around, I considered skipping my Monday taiji class, but something made me get up and get ready for the session. Perhaps it was the knowledge that there won't be a class on Thursday, and that without a session today, I shall have lard-assed my way through (stops to think.... mmm, yep) pretty much the entire day.
I've finally gotten the blessed thing to the point where I've exported it back into Word. The Word file is 82 pages long. If I average 2 minutes per page to resolve formatting "funnies," that'll be about 3 more hours of work before I can send it in.
I am not feeling spunky enough right now to even think of starting that now. Not only that, but right this second, I'm way too "close" to the text. By tomorrow morning, I shall have developed a little "distance" and will be better able to deal with that phase.
In other news, there really was no other news, at least not around these parts.
Cheers...
