Close shave...
Mar. 5th, 2016 11:31 amSo yesterday, while my superpowered white blood cells were being infused, Galina took off for New York with a bunch of stuff intended to help stage the house up there.
I knew this was going to happen, but still... upon returning home and seeing Galina's car gone, I was overcome with a sense of—I don't know—loneliness? (An easy word to come up with, but if it's loneliness, why does the feeling go away after a day or two? I'm still alone and Galina is somewhere else.)
In the end, the day turned into a massive "cheat day" as far as my diet is concerned.
I'm back to my routine, today.
* * * Galina called a couple of hours ago from a gas plaza somewhere along the Interstate in Mississippi, to tell me that her phone had gone missing from the car while she had gone inside to get some coffee.
On a whim, I decided to call her phone.
No answer.
A few minutes later, I called again.
This time, the phone was answered by a worker at the McDonald's franchise located at the gas plaza.
In the end, phone and owner were happily reunited.
Cheers...
