A new find...
Apr. 4th, 2016 09:42 am"New," as in "new to me."
I speak of the novels of Tony Hillerman, one of which (The Wailing Wind) I picked up for a song over the weekend, along with a beat-up copy of Raymond Chandler (that I can now beat up even further!).
I picked up the Hillerman book as a direct result of having caught something that looked like it was a series on Netflix, titled Skinwalkers, the thumbnail graphic for which—if memory serves—featured Adam Beach, whose performance I recalled from Windtalkers and Flags of Our Fathers. (This, despite the fact that Beach's work on Skinwalkers greatly predates the other performances.)
Regrettably, the "series" turned out to be only three episodes long.
That said, I now have quite a few books by Hillerman to read, assuming I can find the books (not really a challenge) and the time to read them (which will be a challenge).
Cheers...
