Flu all around me...
Apr. 21st, 2016 09:50 pmWell, not entirely, but at taiji this evening, it seemed that pretty much everyone either had had it or was out with it.
As a change of pace, sifu spent some time on qigong, and specifically, on exercises that—if I remember all of this correctly—are associated with the stimulation of the liver, heart, stomach, lungs, and kidneys.
Afterward, we spent time figuring out how to transition between "the circle" (a basic repetitive motion in "pushing hands" or tuishou) and some of what amount to "question-and-answer" drills, and then spent the rest of the class time doing "freestyle" tuishou.
I found all of these activities to be both physically and mentally stimulating. It was time particularly well spent.
Cheers...
