Big mistake...
May. 14th, 2016 09:14 pmThe day started early, and I ended up puttering around until about 8 am, when it was time to go to the CrossFit place for their "introductory" class, which turned out to be worth every minute spent. The fellow running the session explained as much as could be explained in a 50-minute session in detail, and we all got an opportunity to do air squats, pushups, and some other moves the right way.
As part of "puttering around," I plugged into a new Audible audiobook while walking the dogs. I had started this habit last week, starting with Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates, but that book had come to an end and so I had started on King of the Weeds, a Mike Hammer book started by Mickey Spillane, finished by Max Allan Collins, and read by Stacy Keach.
Big mistake.
After returning from the walk, I put up my earphones, but the story had really grabbed me, so I really couldn't concentrate on translation. I finally gave in to my inner "wanna-hear-the-book" impulse, and I'm still not all the way through the thing, but at least the itch has been scratched.
I just hope I can get down and do more translation tomorrow than I got accomplished today.
Cheers...
