Call it desperation...
May. 21st, 2016 12:43 pmBut I took Shiloh, Thumper, and one of our cats, Zora, to a place that sets up a flea dip station on Saturdays and offers the service at no charge (although customers are encouraged to tip the young person doing the "dipping"), and I would have taken Mickey—our other cat—except that he is an ornery kind of cuss and would have no truck with the venture. So, I decided to leave him at home, figuring that since he doesn't go outside, "all" it will take—and I do so mean the scare quotes—is a good manual de-fleaing, and we'll be good.
I may wait for Galina to return home so she can do that, as Mickey takes a very jaundiced view of my coming anywhere near him.
(Why is Mickey such a grouch? Well, I would speculate it is for fear of <your-guess-is-as-good-as-mine>, and mine is that he believes himself to be enrolled in some kind of feline witness-protection-program—he did start life as "Leon"—so the fewer opportunities he has to appear in public, the better.)
Earlier in the day, I went to another introductory CrossFit class, and found it useful. I am personally gratified with my progress in doing "air squats" (I could not move vertically much at all a few weeks ago) and the explanations of some basic maneuvers with a bar helped clear some of my mental fog about the subject.
In other news, I have about 7,000 words to finish—3,400 of them are critical—before COB tomorrow, so I better get down to it, seeing as today is at least half burned. When I get "tired," I shall have to change the pace and do something mundane on my to-do list.
Cheers...
