I am grateful to Galina for suggesting we go for a walk along the beach first thing over in Jardin del Mar this morning, as the breeze coming in off of Galveston Bay was nice and cool for a little while.
It warmed up quickly, though, and we returned to partake of a breakfast of quiche prepared by our Airbnber. It was marvelous and we all had a great meal.
I did some translation, but my heart really wasn't in it, as I was preoccupied with the state of the rent house, which is located a little way on the other side of I-45 from us, but I needn't have worried. The a/c wasn't running, but the place didn't have that smell that I always associate with a lack of circulating air, so there was probably some a/c time in the thermostat's program.
The place needs a good cleaning, but it's basically in good shape.
We came back, I did some more translation, and then Galina tempted me away from the keyboard to go for a ride. Where? Anywhere!
We ended up at the Kroger, where we picked up a couple of small bags of groceries.
Dinner was simple, and I looked over some notes afterward.
A pretty straightforward Saturday, with today marking my 30th dose of chemo.
Cheers...
