Better sleep, but...
Sep. 13th, 2016 09:55 pmThe quality of my sleep improved last night over the night before, but in truth, it was still nothing to brag about. By the time I was halfway through taiji, I was coming to suspect that I am either (a) coming down with something, or (b) recovering from something.
Other than that, this evening's taiji session was very challenging and informative. I (along with pretty much everyone else) was introduced to a push-hands drill called "draw bow and shoot tiger," and after looking like an utter and complete fool the first several times I tried doing it, I ended the evening looking like merely an utter fool.
The important takeaway, as far as I am concerned, is to understand that at (or perhaps even because of) my age, I'm not going to be able to "pick up" certain motions—especially motions intended to be used for physical attack or physical defense.
It's nearly ten. I need sleep. G'night.
Cheers...
