A pretty good day, actually...
Sep. 14th, 2016 11:21 pmGot up at my "usual" oh-dark-thirty, and was surprised at how good I felt.
The feeling continued throughout the day, which leads me to suspect that perhaps I had some kind of low-grade virus over the weekend.
Work came in from unexpected quarters, and I continue to work on journal articles while maintaining a one-run-per-day schedule of traveling to the "old" house (to clarify the terminology, the place we've been living for the past four years) to load up the cars with boxes and other small, light items and then for me to return.
It tires me, and I nap in the afternoon, but nothing like this past weekend.
I took the evening to attend the Lone Star Pen Club meeting just outside the 610 loop. The featured speaker had a fairly interesting subject (famous writers and their pens), but the delivery was lacking, in both depth (I really would've like to know if Sam Clemens used a Conklin pen) and technique (the presenter basically read the slides, indicating the text being read with a laser). Still, the presentation was worth listening to, and I'm glad I went.
It's way late, and tomorrow is a work day. G'night.
Cheers...
