There is no excuse for it, but one thing led to another and in the end, Shiloh and Thumper turned into—among other things—canines with lapsed rabies vaccinations.

Part of why this was allowed to happen was because simoleons have been getting more and more difficult to come by in recent months. Then I finally put my "thinking cap" on and went looking for a place that would do the work inexpensively, and found one. I drove halfway across town this morning to get there, and in a strange little scenario of failing to see what was in front of me, did not notice that the vet's office was operating out of a semi trailer that was propped up in the parking lot of a huge commercial center that had seen better days.

I was the second person in "line" (there was no third).

Things went swimmingly well, and the financial "bite" for both animals was less than what I'd expect to pay for just one at the old vet's in Seabrook. There was also no attempt to scare me into buying tests that I just cannot afford right now.

That whole exercise pretty much knocked me for a loop for the rest of the day.

But at least I got that done.

Cheers...
