A lighter household...
Oct. 3rd, 2017 08:23 pmI went to sleep early last night and woke up at a few minutes after midnight, feeling completely refreshed.
Unfortunately, Galina is a light sleeper, so I really had no choice but to turn over and try to go back to sleep. I succeeded.
Two new assignments arrived this morning, and I got part of one completed by the time we had to leave to take Alla to the airport. The road to Bush International was wet and rainy, but we made it with no problems. Galina helped Alla get checked in while I parked the car. Everything went nominally, and we arrived back home about 20 minutes before Alla's flight was scheduled to go wheels-up.
In other news:
I finished the assignment I had started in the morning and then took a nap (are we detecting a pattern yet?). Despite all the time spent unconscious today, I'm feeling pretty good right now.
The insurance people apparently got their act together (finally!) and we hope to get mail from them tomorrow.
My DNA analysis has been completed, but interpreting the results may take me some time. The good news: a familiar name popped up at the top of the list of matches!
