Back from the banquet...and into crunch (sleep) mode...

The banquet was reasonable, though for at least the second year in a row, the post-banquet festivities (dancing, etc.) were arranged to take place at a separate room after the main event. I have a feeling I may not attend next year's banquet if it is arranged in the same manner. But I don't want to mar a very good mood with a complaint at this point, so I'll not pursue the issue here and now, especially as I have to hit the sack, soonest.

My revised wakeup time is about 3:15 am or so. That'll give me half an hour to hie myself downstairs for checkout and a cab to leave the hotel by 4 am, getting me to LAX by 4:30, the suggested two hours before my flight to Salt Lake. I am about 90% packed; the remaining 10% will have to wait for early morning.

It sure sounded like a fun and useful event, all in all. I've been to a few somewhat like it, although not professional, and I've always had a great time meeting and re-meeting people.
