alexpgpGalina and Alla went out this evening, and after a while, I got a call to the effect that our Webster tenant has apparently departed, the electricity was off, and would I please call and arrange to get it turned back on.
After spending quite a while on the phone and being transferred twice (and having to basically start from scratch each time), it was finally determined that, since we were "landlords," we really needed to speak to the business office,... which was closed for the day.
One wonders whether there'll be any takeaway on their side should anyone go to the trouble of reviewing this phone call, which—as welandlords peons are repeatedly told—are routinely recorded for "legal, training, and quality purposes."
The Routine Stuff™... done!
Slow Work™... caught up.
How come it got so late so quickly?
Off to bed!
