Feeling positively accomplished...
Sep. 21st, 2015 09:59 pmAbout the only thing I didn't get done today was something that's been on my list for a few days, and that's getting over to a local pseudo-army-navy store to get a refill for my Sodastream ($2.50, plus tax, using my own CO2 bottle and adapter, versus $19.95, plus tax—the last time I looked—for an "official" refill.
In other news, I've found out I cannot call Natalie in Canada on my phone, nor can she call me, but that may be a question of the change of carrier propagating through whomever's system(s). Otherwise, it's "so far so good" in the phone end of the world.
Cheers...

Date: 2015-09-22 05:14 am (UTC)I will be extra careful making test calls to new acquaintances ~before actually meeting them, because looking for a pay phone on a minute's notice when you miss each other is stressfull.

Date: 2015-09-22 04:47 pm (UTC)We went the route of buying meters, 15# bottle of carbonation (i think it has another name) and make our own by shaking for 4 mins. We are able to get approx 400 liters for $17 after the initial investment of $200 for the meters/bottle, etc. I've always liked the Sodastream system as its simple and quick and am not a fan of shaking a 3 liter bottle for four minutes but the difference in price is awesome.
