How did I get here?

alexpgpWithout meaning to, it would appear that I've accepted a quantity of Slow Work™ such, that I shall have to devote considerable effort to complete, meaning that practially speaking, it's no longer Slow Work™.
And while I knew there was a risk something like this might happen when I signed up for it (Slow Work™ piling up because higher-paying Routine Stuff™ kept me busy), in this case I appear to have walked into the situation with eyes open, but with a less-than-optimum awareness of the deadlines involved.
That said, I should be thankful for the work. I was talking to Feht the other day, and he happily reported he was working on his first big job of the year (which is pretty depressing, considering it's October).
Break's over. Back to the face!
