I decided to sleep in today, and thus was slightly disappointed when I woke up fully alert at 7:03 am. It seems "sleeping in" should involve a later hour. The mountains were obscured by falling snow; we got our own light dusting, too.

Galina was really jazzed about a basket arrangement she had cobbled together yesterday and which sold almost immediately, so she headed out to the store to make some more for tomorrow's business day. After emptying yesterday's wood out of the van, Drew and I prowled our 7 acres in search of some brush oak trees that we could harvest for firewood.

Last night, upon returning home, there were parts of me that were beginning to hurt that I simply was no longer aware that I owned. It took me a full fifteen minutes this morning to stretch out the kinks, and after again messing with even more wood, I am trying to enjoy that nice even strain that comes when just about every fiber of your being is past the complaining stage.

Shannon and Drew are upstairs right now, in the throes of Thanksgiving cookery. The only reason I got online at all was to accede to Lee's request to find a recipe for "pumpkin squares" at the verybestbaking.com site. I have also been tasked to find a recipe for deviled eggs, but even without the Internet, I think I can stumble through that one by myself.

Though I may get back online later today, there's also a good chance that I won't. To all who read these words, please accept my warmest wishes for you and yours to have a happy and memorable Thanksgiving.
