Not letting it go to my head...

alexpgpI've managed to finish one assignment and get a second one to the late despeckling stage as of a few minutes ago. That's the good news.
A prospective job came in, but the client and I could not come to a meeting of the minds. I quoted a price for the job, after which the client countered with an offer to pay 80% of my rate, with a greatly accelerated delivery schedule, whereupon I agreed to the accelerated delivery (probably not a wise move, actually) but only agreed to a 13% rate cut (instead of 20%). In the end, however, the job went 'poof'! No go.
As I suggest, it's probably for the better, seeing my recent productivity levels.
Last night was a horrible night for sleep, despite a good taiji workout. I got up at 4:40 am, had some coffee, turned on my computer, checked my email, and then asked myself what, exactly, the farblegarg I was trying to prove, and went back to bed, as staying up was just not worth the soul-wrenching effort.
I cannot think of a single factor that might mess up tonight's attempt at some serious time with Morpheus (slated to start shortly), but I'll report the result in the morning.
