I saw a pick-em-up truck doing what appeared to be a "victory lap" down NASA Parkway with the U.S. and Trump/Pence flags flying from poles mounted in the vehicle bed, which led me to suspect who won yesterday's Presidential election (I was really good about staying the heck away from newscasts). And indeed, when I entered the old house, Galina had the television on, where the subject of the day was... well, I'll let you guess.

What surprised me, however, was the specific content of the what was being telecast from New York (on CBS, if that's where Stephanopolous appears), which was "what to tell your kids about the Trump victory," presented in the same way as if, say, there had been a massive terrorist attack carried out against the United States with thousands of casualties, requiring that widespread mental trauma be dealt with. I was particularly struck by the seriousness of the tone used by the presenters.

Now, I'd say I was sure the network had a similar segment on "what to tell your kids about the Hillary victory" lined up, too, to help minimize the trauma of a Trump loss, but I'd be lying.

I predict Trump's "honeymoon" with the press will be quite short, indeed.

Cheers...
