More active, but just as tired...

I spent a few hours today looking at my stamp collection and wondering just how I might sell it off, piece by piece.
What is disappointing is the vast dichotomy between "catalog value" and what various stamps are actually selling for on, in particular, eBay (which has the ability to show you what similar items sold for). I had a conversation with Feht about this, and he reminded me that "catalog value" is something of a myth, all the more so when the publisher of the catalog (Maury and Yvert & Tellier, in France, come to mind) is also a dealer.
There is a part of me that does not want to part with my collection, but nobody in the family appears to take the slightest interest in philately, which I think is a shame (and probably my fault, at least to some degree).
I think I shall go back and look at a few more pages of my collection, until NCIS: New Orleans starts in about 20 minutes.
Cheers...
