'nuther day, nuther Euro cent...

A very, very long day.
Sasha got me up early, as usual, and there I was, just taking it easy, as yet unshaved, and unshowered, moving toward an 8 am store opening, as usual, when Galina came by at 7:15 am, all dressed and ready to go, and said she was ready to go to Durango and pick up our box order.
Yikes!
She was my "ride" to the store, so I got ready lickety-split and then had to face a very soft left front tire on the van (no pressure... pun intended!). Galina got on the road at about 7:40 am, and 10 minutes later, I get a call from the guy delivering the goods. He was supposed to be "late" to our appointed rendez-vous (owing to other deliveries), but instead turned out to be early. I told him what was going on, and he left to make some more deliveries.
Once Galina got back, Drew had to leave, because Shannon had to go to the dentist in Durango this afternoon, and of course Drew is her and Huntur's "wheels." The dentist kept them waiting for a couple of hours, for no apparent reason, and then rescheduled Shannon for Friday.
That news, of course, made my day.
No, not really.
What made my day was having someone sneak a Euro cent into my cash register, very likely as part of a handful of change offered as payment. The thing is, the Euro copper is not like a Canadian penny, which is geometrically a dead ringer for the U.S. coin. But I don't mind, actually. I've never seen a Euro cent in the wild before.
And that didn't make my day, either. What really made my day was the 1900 or so words of translation I did after all was said and done, which leads me to this juncture of the space-time continuum.
I've edited the piece and also worked up the invoice for it, as well as invoices for the other jobs that needed to be written since sometime last week. It's time to cut this post and get those puppies out there!
Cheers...
