The second translation for S is done. I keyed in most of the numbers "blind" (i.e., by feel on the numeric keypad), so I'm going to have to take particular care when I check the text before sending it in.

It was a heck of a lot of work for about 5000 words, let me tell you. Lots of typos, and what made the typos all the more damaging was the fact I was translating lines in a table (i.e., word combinations and not sentences).

Still no luck trying to print the JPEGs, but then again, I really haven't applied myself.

There was snow on the ground this morning, but it all melted by about noon. That did not deter Drew from going up on the mountain. I shall have to ask him how it was. I suspect the snow was wet up there, just as it was here.

Time to get ready for company.

Cheers...

Are the tables in the JPEG format?
If Yes, in these cases I use ABBYY FineReader 6.0 for the tables that I receive by fax-modem or in any image format.
FR6 can open and read JPEG/JPG, PCX, TIFF, PDF. And after OCR, I only need to check and correct the data in the tables.

Well, I finally got one of the images to print, and I think the quality may be good enough to run them all through my copy of FR 5.0.

If I do go to Kazakhstan, I'll be sure to pick up a copy of 6.0 while passing through Moscow.

Cheers...
