alexpgpIt seems I'm playing catch-up.
Yesterday's stint at the store about did me in. It was a huge day for UPS and FedEx shipments, especially considering people coming by to drop stuff off. I ended up coming home around 4:30 pm, and lay down to rest, but couldn't nap. Just as well, I guess, or I would have probably slept instead of napped, and that would've thrown me off for the rest of the night. Once Galina came home, we watched a little TV, I went downstairs to my office to putter a bit, and then came back upstairs to rub Galina's feet and go to sleep.
I slept poorly, and have no idea why. The second time I woke up, light was streaming in the window at the foot of my bed, but it was moonlight. Finally, the fourth time I woke up, it was getting along time for "normal" people to be rising.
I've been trying to get my invoices, etc. straight since 8:30 am or so, and have been largely successful. (This mostly consists of uploading the appropriate files and making the appropriate comments to pages on my office TWiki installation.)
A couple of attempts at printing from Word on the VAIO tell me that things are definitely askew on the machine, so I'm reinstalling Windows Me as I type this entry. Then I'll reinstall Office 97 and Windows 2000 just for laughs. Then maybe my ongoing problem with WordFast will go away.
While I'm in the mood to be doing the CD shuffle, maybe I should reinstall Windows on my office machine, too. Attempts to print from IE and the Adobe reader cause the appropriate number of pages to be emitted from the printer, but only with headers and footers, no text.
Today is a very wet day in Pagosa Springs. The clouds built up quickly after Galina left for the store, and there was a brief flurry of lightning and thunder, after which the weather settled down into a steady drizzle. I'm loving it, as this can only be good news for mushrooming.
