alexpgpA look at ABCNews.com turns up a story - I was on another computer and didn't write down the URL - to the effect that someone in political office in Florida was, um, found in possession of - guess what? - a voting machine in one of the counties where the recounts are going on.
Neither the broadcast arm of ABC, nor any other network has reported this, as far as I know.
So, given the above information, can you guess what the party affiliation of the person is? (Hint: not Republican.)
There is also another story, available only via the Internet as far as I know, concerning Carol Roberts, the canvass board leader in Palm Beach County who has so eloquently voiced her concern about how the votes in her jurisdiction must be counted correctly. It seems that a few weeks ago, a Republican candidate lost a local election by 11 votes. When the candidate asked for a recount, it appears that Roberts said, well,...no. Granted, one might argue that much more depends on the outcome of this national election, but on the other hand, this seems awfully convenient.

In my continuing saga in search of a good night's sleep, I find myself pretty awake right now. (It's probably the caffeine.) I really ought to try to get a few hours of z's now, and then try to get a few more hours this evening, prior to going in again at 11 pm.
