The time is counting down. We've got about 30 minutes until departure, and I'm making copies of photos of Huntur and Shannon and Drew for Galina's sister and mom.

The bags are packed. The batteries are charged. Monies have been transferred to the requisite accounts (and wallet). I am about as ready as I'm going to get.

Despite my best efforts, I've ended up taking way too much stuff with me. Or maybe it's my imagination. In any event, I shall try to do what my old friend Zack U. used to do when he went traveling on business: dispose of stuff along the way.

Once the last photo finishes (one copy from now), I shall post this entry and go upstairs to spend a few quiet minutes with Galina. After that, please feel free to cue in Willie Nelson, singing On The Road Again.
