alexpgpThe skies are blue and filled with a suitable number of fluffy white clouds, and it is blargingly cold around here! So cold, I have the heater running in the office!
I've just put the finishing touches on a rush job for today, and have another, less-urgent rush for tomorrow; this, on top of the 30-pager for Monday, which I've just had a chance to look at. The source file is "electronic," in that the information is inside of a PDF file, and upon printing it out, my estimation of the quality of the images is much improved, so I think I'll sic FineReader at it...
An idea for an essay has come to mind, examining the parallels in the conflict between proprietary and "open source" software and the emerging conflict between "mainstream" and "amateur" media (i.e., the "blogosphere"). More important than the parallels themselves are the reactions of the entrenched Powers That Be to the newcomers.
But now, I must get back to work.
