Winding down...

FineReader did its job with the source document PDF file and afterward, I spent a bit of time formatting the output. The result is a fairly clean Word file (5800 source words), despite the fact that certain parties had highlighted various sections of the source text (ye gods!), which only made life a little harder when it came to correcting FineReader's mistakes. I blitzed through the first 1000 words fairly quickly; I expect the rest of the document will submit with equal resignation in the days to come.
The charge on the Samsung's battery seems to degrade more gradually here in Pagosa country than in the city. While I was in Houston, the typical discharge cycle for the battery was three days, after which I'd charge the unit overnight. Upon returning to Colorado last week, I charged the unit Thursday night (if memory serves), and finally had to put it back in the charger this morning. Of course, my talk time profile has also changed, but I'm not at all sure the change has been radical. That reminds me, I should probably devote some time this weekend to putting my old Motorola Star-Tac up for sale on eBay, together with all of the old unit's accessories.
Time to take a break and wind down for the day. There's plenty left over for tomorrow.
Cheers...
