Six minutes to post...

alexpgpMy ticket at the NetCity expires in just about 6 minutes, after which my access will be spotty until I get home.
I returned to the hotel last night and ran into Vladimir V. in the lobby. He suggested we get out of the place and find somewhere to eat. I suggested a Tibetan restaurant a couple of doors down from this NetCity, as I had received an assignment offer and wanted to reply after having looked at the document.
The Tibetan place was pretty good. Vladimir was impressed. The place is not really Tibetan, of course. The staff comes from Buryatia, where there is a fairly significant Lhamaist (using Vladimir's term) community. I had something that resembled egg drop soup, with chicken and ginger, and a main course of lamb with mushrooms and bamboo shoots. After dinner (which ended around 11:30 pm local time), Vladimir took me on a walk down Tverskaya to visit one of his favorite bookstores, which is open until 1 am (sort of a Moscow version of Barnes & Noble).
I plan to get out of the hotel soon and get over to Alla's by early afternoon. Time's almost up.
