Everything all at once...

The Anik-F1R spacecraft was successfully boosted into orbit this morning at 3:53:39.994 am. I am currently in the comm room supporting receipt of orbital data associated with five burns of the upper stage. The fifth burn has just been completed, but it will be some time until confirming data is received.

I got 4 calls on my cell, which I was not able to answer. Also a couple of messages to my last post. Apparently, something is the matter with my mom. I called my dad but miscalculated the time (I subtracted two hours from 11 pm instead of adding them). He told me to call back in (his) morning.

I have been working since 8 am yesterday morning (up since 6 am) with short breaks for meals and 3 hours of sleep overall. Between natural fatigue and apprehension about what's happening with my mom, I've been feeling pretty fatigued and depressed.

We have separation! (Our work is done; we now need only wait for formal confirmation of the fact. This will occur in about 2-3 hours.)

I am asking Big Mama to take care of your Mom until you can be there to help your father, if necessary. (This is one of the 'bummer' aspects of getting old, I'm afraid, as one's kids become ever more concerned about getting such phone calls.)
