Daylight's nearly half burnt...

I hadn't realized the alarm clock in my room was inaccurate until Drew called this morning to find out if someone could open the store for him. I thought he was calling at 7:45; he was actually calling at 7:23. Galina and I flipped a coin, and as it did not come down on its edge, I got to go to the store.

This morning was not all that bad, except for the lady who brought in four packages that were so small, it was a wonder one could find a place to affix postage at all (even sacrificing the return address). Regardless of the clientele, however, opening the store and being there for any length of time in the morning drains my energy quickly, so I was glad to get out of there about an hour ago, and it was a good thing, too.

It turns out a couple of translation items I had held back for review last night were due at the client's office by 10 am my time. The review went well and I delivered the documents on time, but I cut things uncomfortably close.

I went ahead and bought tickets for New York for Sunday, and I hope things work out so that I can fly from New York to Houston the following week.

Travel ain't all it's cracked up to be, sometimes.
