My work plate is clear again. I just sent off nearly two dozen hazard reports. Checking my work took a lot of time, but it was worth it (the documents resemble each other in format, with subtle differences here and there).
My dad and I visited my mom today. The facility she's in looks pretty nice from the outside, but is filled with what I view as "nursing home buzz" on the inside. She was sitting up - in a wheelchair, to be sure - but sitting up, and someone had taken the time to color her hair. As a result, she looks a million percent better, although still not moving about.
My dad wants to talk to the doctor before we get excited about any options involving taking her out of the place (and there lies the rub, as the doctor is not easily reached and does not appear to have mastered the gentle art of returning phone calls), but aside from some routine issues once we do get a hold of the doctor, I think it's doable.
Cheers...
