Schedule problems...

alexpgpI hit the hay soon after returning from my night shift this morning, and thereby missed out on a rush job that probably won't be there when I get up tomorrow morning, but that's all right. Before settling down to address a 500-word test translation (one I'll be paid for), I took the opportunity to play around with a second router, turning it into a network bridge between where the cable service comes into the house and my office.
I called my dad today and told him I plan to take advantage of the cheap JetBlue rate from Houston to New York sometime in the next couple of weeks, so I can visit him. He didn't sound too good, and one of the negative aspects of deciding to use a cell phone for all your telephony needs is that the quality of the connection is sometimes not so good, and worse yet when the hearing of the person at the other end is not what it once was.
Natalie came by earlier, to visit our washer and drier, and she installed The Burning Crusade on my old VAIO, which is currently attached directly to the "main" router, which is in what passes for the dining room in this house.
The item promised for Friday has apparently slipped. I hope it arrives tomorrow. Currently, my next interpreting assignment is scheduled for Thursday.
