Some progress, not enough...
Aug. 8th, 2007 09:31 pmIn my enthusiasm, I agreed to do a telecon tomorrow morning that I was warned - two weeks ago - would likely be nowhere near the usual 20-minutes-and-out-the-door affair it has been up to now. No matter, though, as I've committed to do the job.
I've also committed to do the 40,000 word job, and though I haven't really translated a word, I probably made some money today after creating a macro to help consolidate sentences that have been spread out among several table cells, since I've convinced the project manager to let me charge some additional words every time this happens (and it happens a lot). I will likely refer to this job as "the Horror," over the next dozen days or so, especially when I vent.
In other news, there is no other news, except for the fact that Galina and I are still waiting for a rent check. I need to talk to Galina about resolving the situation before we get a repeat of the deadbeat tenant from last year.
If I'm to be up around 5 am for tomorrow's telecon, I should probably hit the sack around now.
Cheers...
