It's been one of those days...
Oct. 8th, 2007 09:53 pmI slept a lot today, and drove around some. I finally got around to dropping off the clothes in which my dad will be buried, and acutely aware that (a) I have very little experience with this kind of thing, and (b) I want to keep it that way.
Shiloh is keeping my mind off of the banal, which is both good and bad. Her behavior has spurred me to go look for parts missing from a carpet cleaner that I found downstairs, which I eventually did, too late to go to the store and get some carpet scrubbing compound.
Heroes continues at its established pace, and is starting to bug me. After a dozen episodes, the show is starting to resemble a soap opera where, instead of the traditional background in which betrayal, greed, and infidelity are endlessly recycled while the story proceeds at slowest possible speed, here we have... hot diggety... betrayal, greed, and infidelity... as well as terminal cuteness, official skullduggery, and people with strange powers in a story that endlessly recycles itself in a way that almost makes me yearn for the putative end of the world the story seems to be slowly drifting toward.
Still, it's too early to give up on the series. At the present rate, I've another week to go.
Note to self: the EPSON CX4600 apparently will not scan to SD card, and may not scan at all unless the print cartridges are all healthy. I seem to recall this was an issue before, now that I think of it. Too bad.
I should get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a stressful day.
Cheers...
