Eclipse redux...
Feb. 21st, 2008 11:15 amWhen I went outside last night at around 9 pm, there were high clouds in the sky that did not obscure the Moon, but did block out any other celestial objects that might otherwise be seen on a clear night.
By the time the Earth, Moon, and Sun were colinear, at around 10 pm local time, the sky had cleared up to the extent that I could make out Saturn to the left of the Moon and a star (Regulus?) above it. The Moon was a sort of a pinkish-peach color, and although I tried taking photographs, none of them came out worth a flip ("See that pink dot?")
One of these days, I'm going to get a digital SLR with a zoom lens.
Cheers...
