Winding up the day...
Apr. 12th, 2008 09:53 pmAs you can see from the previous post, Shiloh and I went for a walk this morning, and it was a glorious time to do so! Even the daffodils, which initially seemed a little hung over, got into the spirit! (And goodness only knows where they came from, since they seem to be growing "wild" just off the road to the beach!)

We deviated from our usual path to the beach by way of a construction site (where there was, to Shiloh's great delight, a lot of soft, gooey mud!). After we had negotiated that obstacle and she had frolicked in the Sound to regain some semblance of her original coloration, she saw an opportunity to socialize...

We eventually did get to meet the kids at the water's edge. It turns out they arrived from England this morning with their parents.
And what a welcome Shiloh gave them (not exactly 21 guns, more like 21 crazy dogs rolled into one)!
The translation is gone, after taking an inordinate amount of time, mostly having to do with tracking down turns of the phrase. Technically, the material wasn't hard at all. Still, it was interesting to see a nearly 30% expansion of word count to turn it into colloquial English.
Time to get away from the computer and spend some time with Galina!
Cheers...
