Not much to report...

It's been sort of a lazy day, despite the fact an assignment was tossed over the transom yesterday around the end of the business day, due on Wednesday. In other news, a fellow I work for once in a blue moon continues to be my best-paying client ever (he pays on delivery, which is very handy considering the six weeks I've been on the road, so to speak, with its concomitant bump in cash flow).
Galina and I introduced Alla to the hallowed American tradition of visiting garage sales, which turned out very well for her, as she was looking for some Southwest-themed stuff. I managed to pick up a hefty spice rack for $5 and a crockpot and cheese grater for another sawbuck at another place.
It's a good thing I found the crockpot, too, as I've been bragging about how tasty steel-cut oatmeal is, but I've been just too lazy to stand over it as it cooks in the morning, so I'll make a batch overnight... if I can figure out how to correct the proportion of water to oatmeal to account for altitude... assuming such a correction is necessary (as the water never boils).
I'll consider it a learning experience.
Mike and Karen got back from Denver after spending a small fortune to treat Milo, their collie. We called earlier to invite them over for dinner, but have not heard any response yet. Tomorrow, in theory, we'll have the kids over for dinner, and in an approximation of actually having a social calendar, we'll be headed over to Feht's place on Monday afternoon, despite his busy schedule, to chew the fat before he takes off on one of his vacations (until November, if I can trust my ears).
Cheers...
