alexpgpI really must remind myself to buy a cut of Robert Goulet singing What Kind Of Fool Am I? to enjoy in those moments immediately after making asinine work commitments.
It is Wednesday, we still haven't departed, but now, instead of "working in the car" being just a light-hearted experiment that can be called off and "fixed" with a 2-hour (maximum) stop at a facility with power and clean tables, it has landed squarely on the critical path.
If working on the road isn't feasible, I'll need about 5-6 hours of table time to dig myself out.
Blyech!
I am now (at midday) where I planned to be last night, plus about 800 words from a good client (with about 1100 more words from that client due by COB tomorrow). In all, I have four more items due to clients by Friday morning, each under 1,000 source words (which will test my light-hearted assertion of "Hey, I can do 1,000 words standing on my head!").
I also have 5,000 new words in the inbox, due Monday, but I'm actually thinking that I could do it in one shot on Sunday, if push came to shove.
For no apparent reason, I had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night, and I'm starting to think that a nap might not be a bad idea, further supporting my gut feeling that we're not leaving for anywhere today.
Oh, well... onward!
