April was my worst month for invoicing since I returned to Colorado in January 2001. To give you an idea of how bad April was, the volume of invoiceable work I had completed for May by this past Sunday night (the 3rd) was more than I had invoiced for all of April.

Which makes me wonder about yesterday and today, which have been dry, work-wise. Which will be the norm for the month, the first three days, or these past two?

I spent the greater part of the day doing physical work around the house, including a spell of "if it doesn't grow, it's got to go" policing of the property that made me curious about how some stuff ends up on our land. Surely it can't be the wind, or can it?

Galina and I had lunch at the "new" Mexican place in town, which has actually been around for a while (though I've never been there before) and is just across the access road from our standby ("Ramone's"). I had the chicken chimichanga and Galina ordered a chicken quesadilla. Sadly, neither of us was impressed with the food or the service.

And so it goes!

Cheers...

I can certainly relate to the work situation - it's either a flood or a drought. Good luck! I hope this month will be a flood for both of us...

Re: stuff growing - it's probably birds, carrying seeds in their poop. Or small animals. Or that moose has come back!

Actually, I can deal with stuff that grows; what puzzles me sometimes is the stuff that doesn't grow (hence the mantra of "if it doesn't grow, it's gotta go!").

For example, why did I find - in the middle of a patch of scrub oak tens of yards from the house and the property boundary - a piece of crystal glass from what appears to be a chandelier (there is a little hole in the glass with a wire doodad through it, for a dangling thingamabob)?

I am officially befuddled. :^)

Cheers...

Hmmm.... fairies or goblins. Or them space aliens ;-)

Or you are growing a crystal tree.
