No, it's what's been done to me, and to make things worse, it's been done across paragraph numbers (which in Word are automatic), so the effect (leaving out deletions) is like this:

3.1.2. The rain in Spain
3.1.3. falls
3.1.4. mainly on the
3.1.5. plain.

I can't wait for the end client to ask me what "sic" means.

Can you turn off the revision preview option, so you are not looking at strike-through text all the time, or do you need to see the text That Came Before?

Well, I need to see what's been deleted (so I can delete it in the translation), but the several times I've run into this phenomenon, I have fiddled with the options to show just the final product with new stuff highlighted.

(I am convinced that was how the options were set when whoever edited this mess sat down to work.)
