Taking the bull by the horns...

The combination of finding a box of old records that had been sitting in the attic since 1995 and the cobbling together of a usable turntable (from about three junked units) has been surprisingly good. One curious thing, though, is that while I can listen to records played back through the boom-box stereo in my office with no problem, recording the output on a computer cannot be listened to on an iPod, owing to all the pops and related noise.
I am sure there are ways to fix this, I just don't have all that much spare time right now.
More work came in, which I accepted, making life ever more complicated. I had planned to take one complete day off this weekend, but that's looking problematic at this point.
Mike called around 2 pm to let me know he'd be pulling into town after 9 pm (he's still not here, Shiloh will let me know when he does arrive), which lit a fire under where it counts to clean up at least the upstairs to the point where nothing was terribly awry.
Then it was back to the face of the salt mine!
Cheers...
