Southwest sky at night...

alexpgpIt rained last night, and it's been raining on and off today. The sky is still overcast. This bodes well for the sprouting of mushrooms.
On Friday night, I took a series of 15-second exposures looking to the southwest and then submitted the whole lot to a program called DeepSkyStacker, which analyzes the images, registers them, and then "stacks" them, doing some cool things along the way, such as get rid of unwanted "noise." Here's the result:
Not bad for a first attempt.
