Southwest sky at night...
Aug. 24th, 2009 09:00 pmIt rained last night, and it's been raining on and off today. The sky is still overcast. This bodes well for the sprouting of mushrooms.
On Friday night, I took a series of 15-second exposures looking to the southwest and then submitted the whole lot to a program called DeepSkyStacker, which analyzes the images, registers them, and then "stacks" them, doing some cool things along the way, such as get rid of unwanted "noise." Here's the result:

Not bad for a first attempt.
