I bit the bullet the other day, and on the recommendation of a colleague, I bought Adobe Acrobat (thus saying goodbye to a number of products that try to replicate the functionality, but fall short).

Just now, I get this message:
Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help.
If I had not bought Acrobat, I would not be having this problem.

If I had bought a pirated copy of Acrobat, I would not be having this problem.

Now, with something like 8,000 words to translate this weekend, I need to track down and kill this problem before I can move forward.

Farblegarg, and other epithets.

Cheers...

Did it work just after it was installed?

I really thought about advising to apply the "tablet" (crack) to kill the nuisance. But it's illegal... (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!)

Yes, and I managed to find a page at the Adobe site that didn't explain why my 100% genuine, legal, bought-from-their-website copy did this, but did provide a fix that goes on my emergency thumb drive.

That is the worst, really, why bother paying? I'm glad that my "evaluation" copy doesn't have that problem. Worst case, I know a workaround.

Well, I downloaded something from the Adobe site that appears to have fixed the problem.

This time.

For now, at least.

:)

I have MS Office Suite 2007. I've downloaded from http://download.microsoft.com the plug-in for it called '<...> saving in PDF and XPS format' recently . I tried to save few simple dox as Adobe Acrobat PDF, and it's worked.

Hope you have the possibility to get MSOS'2007 with the academic license ;-).

Everything is possible, but using Office 2007 to get around something in Adobe Acrobat is...

I don't even want to think about it! :)

Cheers...
