An interpreter acquaintance of mine, Vladimir V. from New York, when asked once how life was going, replied: "It's not a life, it's a timeline." Very apropos for the NASA environment.

I can't say what I've been doing for the past ten days is a timeline (timelines, though very intense, are at least not chaotic, but I digress...). In any event, Outl(ugh)k has just finished sending the translated file back to my client, so I can go to sleep in peace and dream the dreams of the... person who gets to open the store tomorrow.

I'm whining, I know. (Hey! It's my journal!)

I'll get over it.

I received an article from an old client of mine at the Smithsonian. It looks like work may be coming from that direction again. The last time, in 1995, I learned about the fascinating life of people on the Yamal peninsula. (I am not being sarcastic.) Actually, the work made me kind of want to go visit the place, though I'm sure I've got a thoroughly romantic version of the region that's a cross between Robert Service's Yukon and I-don't-know-what-else.

I'm babbling... so overly tired, I'll probably lie awake for a while if I lie down.

Gotta go try, though.

Cheers...
