Holy mozilla, Batman!
Jul. 18th, 2001 10:51 amWell, I'm on the Internet with 'bagger', my Linux eSlate.
The default installation of Netscape looked pretty pathetic, so I tried to run Mozilla, but it hadn't been installed. So, I tracked it down and installed the rpm, and...
Here I am.
Not only does Mozilla actually work better than Netscape, but it automagically recognized the Cyrillic link to my Russian LJ friends and displayed it correctly. (Netscape makes do with a bunch of '?' place-holders.)
This is usable... yes it is.
I finally stopped on page 63 of the edit job, but the good news is that most of the remaining changes are pretty simply... mostly new and revised numbers.
Off to bed, methinks, for another early start tomorrow.
Cheers...

Date: 2001-07-20 04:27 pm (UTC)OTOH, my understanding is that Galeon runs under GNOME, and since (a) Mandrake installed KDE by default, and (b) I don't have the time at present to bone up on what's involved in reconfiguring the machine for GNOME, I guess I'll make do for now.
Thanks for the tip, though.
Cheers...
