Lately, particularly during the day, LJ takes forever to respond, and most of the time, something times out and I get a message saying the database is busy. Is this happening to others, too, or is it just me?

Tallying the day, it would appear I've translated around 5,000 source words, but it doesn't feel that way to me. The plate is still overfull, so nothing better arrive in the email tomorrow, else I will have to refuse it.

Somehow, I managed to start the day with a session on 750 Words that blossomed into an LJ Idol entry that I hope will cut the mustard, so to speak, in the upcoming vote.

The wind outside has been so forceful over the course of the day that visibility is down to less than a mile, the result of a lot of loose particulate being thrown up into the air. Sandstorm, anyone?

It's 9pm. I'm going to go take it easy. It's been a long day.

Cheers...

Wicked slow for me, too.

I thought it was MY COMPUTER that was slow. But maybe it's just that I spend too much time on LJ and it's LJ that's slow.

I had a similar problem yesterday trying to load pictures to flickr, but that was flickr. All it would take is 30% of my pictures.

I cling to my theory that Cosmic Influences are combining with sunspots and Pernicious Negativity to produce dis-connections all around the world. As a life-long Pantheist (of sorts), I have vague 'memories' of worships from the Druids through to modern Quakers, and figure that whatever is coming through will be interesting.

Great good luck with your trip to the space launch in Russia! May your Skypes be blue, your prose roseate, and your translating impeccable.
