Mar. 30th, 2011 04:11 pmLife is full of all sorts of surprises.
Some of them are pleasant.
Some are not.

As far as I can tell, no updates have occurred.
Good thing I haven't fully gone over to the new tool.
Cheers...

Date: 2011-03-31 02:48 pm (UTC)The note from Kilgray technical support suggested that the corrupt file may be the result of a computer crash, and indeed, my machine lost power when my UPS circuit breaker tripped, but the funny thing is that upon restarting the computer, I was able to reopen and continue to use the memoQ project with no difficulty (which suggests to me that the file was okay up through the loss of power and the restart).
Leave it to me to find the weaknesses! ;^)

Date: 2011-03-31 10:47 pm (UTC)Actually, if it bothers you, why not ask Kilgray if there is a simple way to copy all numbers across into the target? They even offered to write me a macro once (no charge!) to convert a dual-column-dual-language Excel spreadsheet into a biligual document that memoQ can understand. I'm sure they will be glad to help you.
I've found a peculiar problem myself as well, after a week of emailing the tech. support it turned out that there IS an issue with importing certain documents into LiveDocs under certain conditions, and at the moment the fix is in Beta. Which was rather reassuring - its nice to know that a software company cares about its users that much and that they are constantly trying to improve.
