On my way!

I left the house on very nearly the dot of 9 am, and stopped at the bank to cash a check and some rolled coins. It turns out that rolling coins is a thing of the past, as I had to wait while the teller broke the rolls, fed the coins into a machine, and then spent about 15 minutes unjamming said machine.

It made for a vary slow start to the day.

I am nearly 350 miles toward my destination, with about 1650 miles left to go. I'm in Garden City, Kansas, eating dinner at a Thai place.

No time to muse; it's stuff-the-face-and-back-on-the-road for me. I'd like to put at least 120 more miles on the tires before turning in for the night.

If you've never seen it, Cahokia Mounds in Illinois, just past St. Louis, makes a nice free stopping place. Also, check your map for Highway 370 in St. Louis, as you will miss a lot of traffic on I-70 & 270.
