A change of pace...

For me, one of the things about living in a metropolitan area is to remember to keep the television off during the news broadcasts, because invariably, the news that's broadcast is very nearly always a sure bet to be a downer: someone got killed, someone got hit by a car, someone got caught with their hand in the jar. Very often, the situation is exacerbated by an accompaniment that presumes to tell me what I should think about the events of the day. But I digress...

As a sort of counterweight, here's a link that at times brought tears—good tears—to my eyes.

I thought it's a typical Russian peculiarity of the news to show a lot of crimes and other bad news, and this is why I avoid watching any news on Russian TV exсept business news.
