A freewheeling day...

I got up this morning with the express intent of, basically, following my nose.

Succeeded.

Got nothing in particular done.

Which could have been predicted, based on my express intent of the day.

Watched something called Red Dog on Netflix. A well done film, IMO.

Last Thursday's episode of Elementary was, IMO, probably the best episode yet. The plot line placed Sherlock in an interesting place vis à vis an old "acquaintance" from Holmes's days as an addict, who now desperately needs the detective's help to rescue his kidnapped daughter. The resulting situation posed some essential questions that required, and received answers.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around why the network scheduled a new episode of the series directly after the Super Bowl. If I hadn't just happened to see the "stay tuned for" message after the end of the event, I certainly would have missed it. Time will tell, but it may very well have been a key episode; one that keeps Elementary from becoming a somewhat more intense, crime-oriented version of Doc Martin.

I missed the one after the SB because I only caught a flash of the teaser and assumed it would be on at the regular time. Oops!

I almost missed it myself, and considering I hadn't been watching the game (Galina had, and I had plopped myself down in front of the tube to decompress from a hard day of translation) I'm surprised I caught the "after the post-game show, stay tuned for..." message at all.
